Handmade Stoneware Pouring Bowl – Painterly Blue & Ochre

A hand-thrown stoneware pouring bowl with a softly irregular rounded form and a gently pulled pouring lip. The pale speckled stoneware is finished in an expressive painterly reactive glaze with washes and splashes of soft blue, cobalt, ochre, mustard and smoky grey over a creamy white ground. The inside reveals lively brush-like runs, pooling and speckled glaze movement, while the outside has a more restrained layered finish that allows the natural making marks and clay body to remain visible. The unglazed foot and small incised maker's mark reinforce its one-of-a-kind handmade character. Ideal for sauces, dressings, batter, serving or display.
